Blue Mountain School

This project involved the manufacture of ten (10) "superdisc" assemblies, eight feet in diameter for the cafeteria and auditorium area.  The disc is a weldment constructed of 10 ga. steel, ground smooth and painted.  There is an interior structure from which the assembly is suspended (via four (4) 1/4" aircraft cables) and to which the interior lighting is attached (four (4) large Sterner floods and five (5) Kirlin down-lights.  The entire assembly weighs in at 650 lbs.

Special shipping pallets were fabricated because the building had been closed in already and there was no entry door available that was wide enough to bring the fixtures through.  The pallets allowed the superdiscs to be turned on end for entry.
